Letting you know who we are giving to!
December and January we donated $200 to Folsom's Twin Lakes Food Bank. The money was to be used to purchase fresh eggs.
September, October and November we adopted six children from the Angel Tree project spending $240.
July and August 2011 we gave $240 to teachers in Folsom as a welcome back to school. We sent out 12 $20 surprises. Hope it started the teachers year off on a super postitive note. Next year we hope to do even more.
June 2011 we are giving $100 to Friends of the Folsom Zoo. The Friends of the Folsom Zoo Sanctuary is raising funds to continue with Phases 3 and 4 of the Wild Canine Complex. This new area will house the wolf pack in a much larger, natural environment. This new exhibit will really be two areas in one, providing space to separate pack members who may need observation or may be causing trouble. In their current home, separated animals must stay in a relatively small area, with access to the larger open space being rotated.
For April and May 2011 we added up our money and we were able to donate $150 to the Folsom Library. Stop by the library in a few months and find our colorful ceramic book spine: Folsom Friends. It will be displayed in the children’s area of the library. We are hoping to help support the children's summer reading program. $100.00 will purchase approximately 8-10 hardcover books for either the Children’s Picture Book Collection or the Children’s Fiction areas.
This March we were able to send a check for $100 to the March of Dimes. I think you will enjoy this ad from the 1950s Disney March of Dime Ad Look at what everyones giving has alread acomplished.
