Garden Tours
Celebrate Water Awareness Month with a garden tour at the American River Water Education Center (ARWEC), located at the Bureau of Reclamation's Central California Area Office at Folsom Dam, 7785 Folsom-Auburn Road, Folsom, CA.
ARWEC's Master Gardener, Judy Carroll, will give two free formal tours on Saturday, May 7, 2011, at 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. All guests are asked to sign up when they arrive.
Judy and other plant experts will be available to answer questions in the garden from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Learn about ARWEC's water-efficient landscape; river-friendly, drought-tolerant plants; and native species popular in the Sacramento area. In addition, Placer County Master Composters will conduct composting demonstrations throughout the morning.
