The Folsom Mad Hatters
SOMETHING NEW AND DIFFERENT - The Folsom Mad Hatters have taken on two new charitable causes, that of supplying items to Bishop Gallego's Maternity Home in Sacramento and The Veterans' Hospital in Martinez. Those of you wanting to take a short break from knitting hats for newborns may want to make some items for these other places. The Maternity Home can use baby blankets, sweaters, hats and booties. Leal has designated some of our newborn hats for this purpose. The veterans are in need of lap robes, slippers, and soft hats. A pattern for the hat is available and is a good way to use some of our four-ply yarn, of which we have much. Possibly some of you might have unfinished projects that could fill these requests if completed.
