Folsom Symphony's "Made in America" May 17, 2013 to May 18, 2013
The Folsom Symphony is pleased to announce it has added a second performance to its traditional season-ending pops concert in May. Because of ticket demand, the symphony will play for two nights, Friday, May 17, and Saturday, May 18. Both programs begin at 7:30 p.m. at Three Stages.

The community has endorsed the Folsom Symphony’s quality classical music with sold-out houses for several performances over the past two seasons. A second night was added to last year’s pops concert, and the Beethoven concert last March, featuring Beethoven’s Ninth, played for three nights.

This year’s pops concert, titled “Made in America,” showcases the ingenuity of American composers with selections from Stephen Schwartz’s “Wicked,” John Williams’ “Saving Private Ryan,” “E.T.,” and “Schindler’s List,” Copland’s “Four Dance Episodes From “Rodeo,” Samuel Barber’s Violin Concerto, first movement, “America the Beautiful” and the “Armed Forces March.” Guest violinist Dawn Harms will solo with the orchestra.

“Made in America” will be performed at 7:30 p.m., May 17 and 18, at Three Stages at Folsom Lake College. Buy tickets online or by calling 916-608-6888 or visiting the ticket office at the college.
