March and April 2013 we donated $200 to Folsom's Twin Lakes Food Bank. Thank you for your commitment in the fight against hunger. Through your generous support, Twin Lakes help over 44,600 men, women and children in our community each year get the assistance they need. Over half of these are children and Senior Citizens. Your compassion is truly amazing! Your generous donations are used to buy food and supplies to help individuals and families in need. For every $1 you donate, Twin Lakes Food Bank helps provide 7 meals to hungry children and families in our immediate community.

Backpack Ride for Kids June 22, 2013
The Lord's Gym Motorcycle Ministry is sponsoring a motorcycle run through the Sierra foothills to raise money to purchase backpacks for El Dorado County school children whose families have limited resources. The ride takes place on Saturday, June 22nd, 2013. Registration: 8:30 a.m. at Lord's Gym, 6051 Enterprise Drive, Diamond Springs. Riders depart at 10 a.m. The ride ends at Solid Rock Faith Center, 6205 Enterprise Drive, Diamond Springs. It will be followed by a BBQ, concert with Darrell Mansfield, member of the Blues Hall of Fame, raffle, bounce houses, classic cars and lots of motorcycles. Lots of clean fun for a good cause. Join us! Concert/BBQ 1 - 3 pm.

Join us for a campfire on Friday, June 21 from 7:30pm-8:30pm. Sit under the stars at our outdoor amphitheater to enjoy native stories around the campfire. We’ll provide roasting sticks and marshmallows for a sweet program’s end. Museum doors open at 7pm. Fees: $5 per person, $16 family of four, under 2 are FREE.

Women Unified in the Spirit of Motherhood Sierra Moms is a member-led organization for mothers, serving the greater Folsom and El Dorado Hills communities in Northern California. Through nurturing environments, we help women connect with one another to find support in their role as a mother. We also support local charities through grants and volunteer service projects. Amazing encounter in Africa!!
A tourist camp in Africa -- You will love this video. You can tell that the guy was stunned by his experience. This is a great video of the Silverback Gorilla coming into camp for a visit. Quite an unusual experience. Not sure I could have stayed that calm.
